• मवेशी संरक्षण विधेयक, 2021 गैर-गोमांस खाने वाले समुदायों के निवास वाले क्षेत्रों में गोमांस की बिक्री और खरीद पर रोक लगाता है।

• यह मंदिर या सत्र (वैष्णव मठ) के 5 किमी के दायरे में गोमांस की बिक्री और खरीद पर भी प्रतिबंध लगाता है।

• यह बिल असम मवेशी संरक्षण अधिनियम, 1950 को निरस्त कर देगा। इसे मवेशियों के “वध, खपत, अवैध परिवहन” को विनियमित करने के उद्देश्य से पारित किया गया था।

• यह बिना किसी वैध दस्तावेज के असम से और उसके माध्यम से मवेशियों के अंतर-राज्यीय परिवहन को प्रतिबंधित करता है।

• केंद्रीय संस्कृति, पर्यटन और उत्तर पूर्वी क्षेत्र के विकास मंत्री जी. किशन रेड्डी ने नई दिल्ली में क्रांतिकारियों की एक प्रदर्शनी ‘कथा क्रांतिवीरों की’ प्रदर्शनी का उद्घाटन किया।
